I'd recommend staying on level 100 to make use of the new Infamy system. It'll take some more time but you'll at least be able to stay on that level while going up an Infamy rank

So TL;DR

Compact-5 is average because all other stats except ammo and concealment are a solid meh to kinda ass

I tried it, I paired it with the akimbo spec-ops. And I must say that it feels like a slightly overcharged airsoft gun compared to other SMGs (I didn't run it with crits yet, but having been accustomed to the fire rate I can say that it nevertheless won't be meta-breaking in any way)
