99 Boxes is a heist in PAYDAY 3.
Mission Briefing[]
Description[]
There's a shipment of experimental electronic equipment sitting in a cargo dock in New York harbor. The components are part of a deal with the Wixia corporation and are worth an absolute fortune. Get inside the storage yard and steal them.
Just make sure to handle them with care. They need to be kept cool, or they'll deteriorate and lose their worth.
Mac's Contractor Dialogue[]
"Okay, so here's the deal: The components are kept in high security cooling containers somewhere in the storage yard. We don't know where, so you need to figure that shit out when you get there. But first you need to prepare a refrigerated transport. The clock starts ticking as soon as the components are out in the open, so you need to haul ass to get 'em to the transport. Take too long, and they'll start to degrade and lose value. And we don't like that. I kept an eye on you for some time now. If all this works out, maybe we can do business again in the future. Now, do what you need to do to get ready. I'll see you on the other side."
Blaine Keegan's Contractor Dialogue (UNUSED)[]
"As you may or may not know, I been tryin' stick t' the straight an' narrow since last we met. But these..."businessmen"...eugh. I've done a few things in ma life I ain't exactly proud of. These corporate types are worse than I've ever been. They'll do anything to keep their competition outta business. Well, I can play dirty too. I'm told these components that are ____ betrayed hands are game changers. I've had dealings with these 'Garnet' characters before. Let's just say I'm not sheddin' any tears if things don't work out for ol' Ralphie. You get me some of them components, and I'll give you a fair price for 'em."
Heist Selection Screen[]
Overview[]
Taking place in a Roger Wilson warehouse and shipping yard, the Payday gang must traverse through the area locating the prototype components needed to ruin Ralph Garnet's deal with Wixia.
The location contains three areas: the main area surrounding the warehouse, the west yard, and the east yard. The main area is full of trucks and containers, with multiple guards patrolling the area at once.
The warehouse contains a few employees performing duties and security guards patrolling the interior. The right side of the warehouse has a camera room locked behind a blue keycard.
The west and east yards are identical, with shipping containers stacked on top of each other or strewn all over the place, providing some form of cover or tactical advantage for both the Payday gang and the SWAT that attempts to apprehend them (on loud). A few employees and guard roam the area.
Objectives[]
Favors[]
- Thermite Drop: During loud, Bile will drop the thermite in the yard where the white containers are located.
- Additional Explosives: More explosive hazards will be placed around the map.
- Prototype Bags: The prototype loot takes longer to degrade.
- Opened Container: One of the white containers will open.
Strategy[]
Variations[]
- The white containers that hold the Prototypes and the money loot will either alternate between the west and east wing.
- The computer inside the warehouse that needs to be hacked will either spawn in the left or right side of the interior.
- The loot inside the white containers will either hold money bags or the Prototypes needed to continue with the objective.

Trivia[]
Bugs[]
- (Fixed) Originally, the escape sequence of this heist awarded an exorbitant amount of weapon XP by repeatedly moving in and outside of the escape area, allowing players to effectively skip majority of the grinding for various weapons' attachments if they repeat the movement several times.
- (Fixed) Using the Battering Ram skill allowed players to run at the container's inner door containing the QUANTZ prototype to skip the Wi-Fi circle hacking process after gaining the EDGE, GRIT or RUSH buff.
