Gruber Kurz pistols can be dual-wielded in the primary weapon slot for their greatly increased damage output at the cost of precise aiming, stability and the opportunity cost of being unable to use other primaries.

All akimbo weapon modifications cost 40% extra than their normal price.

Trivia[]

  • The Gruber Kurz is based on the Walther PPK/S, in reference to the sidearm of choice for James Bond. Adding the Long Slide turns it into a regular PP.
    • The name "Gruber" is a reference to the antagonist Hans Gruber from the 1988 movie Die Hard, who in the draft scripts were supposed to use a PPK as his primary firearm, before being changed to the Heckler & Koch P7M13. The "Kurz" suffix doubles both as a nod to the pistol's diminutive size and an attempt to ape the "K" in PPK.
  • Reloading the Akimbo Gruber Kurz has the player character flicking on two non-existent slide releases to let the guns into battery. The Walther PPK doesn't have a slide stop in reality, thus necessitating the use of the shooter's other hand to chamber a new round on an empty reload. Puzzlingly, this was depicted correctly by the single variant.
