The Akimbo Uzi submachine guns are a primary weapon available in PAYDAY 2 that was added in Update #178.

Overview

Uzi submachine guns can be dual-wielded in the primary weapon slot for their greatly increased damage output at the cost of precise aiming, stability and the opportunity cost of being unable to use other primaries.

All akimbo weapon modifications cost 40% extra than their normal price.

Summary

Pros:

• High overall rate of fire, though lower than other akimbo SMGs
• Good magazine size and total ammo count
• Above-average base accuracy
• Good base concealment
• Recoil and ammo conservation are very manageable due to the low rate of fire
• Unique Barrel Extension suppressor which doesn't reduce damage

UTG LED Weapon light and Laser. Although the main flashlight has a toggle switch, the laser sight component of the LED Combo is pressure-activated, meaning the laser will stay on as long as the pressure switch is depressed. This switch is not placed where it should be, however (on foregrips, magazine wells, etc...) and is instead ziptied to the main taclight, leaving no plausible mean for the user to toggle it without awkwardly moving their off hand off the weapon and gripping the attachment itself. • The Uzi is based upon the IMI Uzi with an integrated front vertical grip. On the real firearm, this grip replaces the two halves of the standard grip panels and has similar contours to the weapon's pistol grip. It is referred to as the K-Grip.
• The Uzi's magazines is modeled after a 32 round magazine but hold 40 rounds each.
• Priced at $1,288,000, the Akimbo Uzi is tied with the Akimbo Patchett L2A1 and Akimbo Tatonka for being the most expensive weapons in the game.
• The Akimbo Uzi's stocks are folded by default, but despite this, its inventory icon and the FBI Files depict them with their stocks unfolded.
• The Akimbo Uzis may feel as if they are firing faster than the standalone weapon despite the unchanged rate-of-fire. This is due to the fact that the left-handed weapon will always fire immediately after the right-handed one, resulting in a more rapid, if not doubled, series of discharges.
