This can be slightly justified by its possible use of the .41 Action Express round (despite 9x19 being stamped on the ejection port), but even then it's still largely outlandish, as it is only marginally harder-hitting than the .40 S&W the Signature .40 and Chimano Custom (and possibly also the LEO) are chambered in.

The Baby Deagle pistol is a secondary weapon available in PAYDAY 2, released as part of the Point Break Heists DLC.

Overview

The Baby Deagle can be considered a smaller version of the Deagle, having high damage and good accuracy, and a cousin of the Gruber Kurz for boasting very good concealment. Its main advantage can be in its use for stealth, as the high concealment and high damage even when silenced allow it to easily be carried with minimum detection risk, which can be useful in missions like Shadow Raid, where there are guards with high health that are hard to kill if the player is detected. Further adding to it is the Spike Kit, which puts it's concealment up to thirty. The stability is very low, but that's something that can be ignored, since it still doesn't have an unbearable recoil and can easily be controlled even when firing continuously.

Summary

Pros:

  • High damage
  • Good rate of fire, on par with the LEO
  • Good accuracy
  • Decently-sized mod pool
  • Very good concealment

Cons:

  • Low stability
  • Lower accuracy and mod pool than the Deagle, its bigger brother

Tips

  • With the Spike Kit Baby Deagle will have the tied highest concealment of all weapons excluding concealment boosting skins.
  • It will one shot every normal enemy with a headshot except Death Wish MFRs, though that can be fixed with some damage boosting skills. Due to its high accuracy headshots will be easy to hit.
  • The iron sights are barely visible, so it's best to put on a laser module or the only sight available for it

Trivia

  • This weapon is based on the Jericho 941 RPL "Baby Eagle" pistol. It also drew its name from the similar-yet-fundamentally different Desert Eagle, known in the PAYDAY universe as simply "Deagle". Fitting it with the Spike Kit mod turns the pistol into the 941 F variant, and then a very specific custom of the 941 R when the Spike Grip is added to the mix.
    • It is hard to pinpoint which specific caliber the in-game weapon is chambered in. It's ejection port texture indicates its the 9x19mm variant, yet the 12-round magazine would suggest it's the .40S&W model. Additionally, the in-game pistol also has a silver guide rod, an unique feature of the .41 Action Express model.
  • The Baby Deagle has ridiculously and unrealistically high damage, surpassing most pistols in the game aside from the Deagle and the revolvers.
  • The Spike Grip and Spike Kit mods are a reference to the popular anime Cowboy Bebop, in which the character Spike Spiegel uses a Jericho 941 R (the frame of which the Spike Kit gives) as his weapon of choice, with a custom grip very similar to that obtained with the mod.
    • Although a very close replication, a fully-modded Baby Eagle has a frame-mounted decocker rather than a slide-mounted one like on Spiegel's pistol.
