The FIK-22 TLR is a primary marksman DLC weapon in PAYDAY 3, released alongside the Syntax Error heist.

Overview[]

The FIK-22 TLR is a marksman rifle with high ammo capacity but low damage.

Compared to its counterparts, like the Reinfeld 900S and the SA A144, the FIK-22 TLR is extremely weak. However, unlike those two weapons, the FIK-22 TLR comes with a high 25 ammo capacity by default without the need to level up to unlock larger magazine attachments (although one is unlockable for the FIK-22 TLR). Its rate of fire is also significantly higher, which can offset its low damage if fired rapidly.

Despite ammo being the weapon's greatest strength, the FIK-22 TLR is lacking as not only a marksman rifle with merely average accuracy, but as a weapon in general. Its low damage means more shots to kill enemies, even with headshots. The armor penetration for the FIK-22 TLR, despite it being decent, utterly fails to compensate for its poor damage, to which the Reinfeld 900S and the SA A144 shares the same exact armor penetration value and still serves the marksman role better than the FIK-22 TLR ever could. Even non-marksman weapons such as the Adelig RG5, the VF-7S, and the ATK-7 are better at dispatching enemies than the FIK-22 TLR.

Simply put: use other weapons instead of the FIK-22 TLR.

Summary[]

Pros:

  • High reserve ammo
  • High ammo pickup rate
  • High ammo capacity
  • Fast reload
  • Decent armor penetration

Cons:

  • Comedically low damage for a marksman rifle
    • Weakest of all the marksman rifles currently in PAYDAY 3; some non-marksman weapons are stronger
    • Armor penetration stats unable to carry the damage considering that other marksmen rifles have similar (if not the same) armor penetration values
  • Obstructive ironsights

Trivia[]

  • The FIK-22 TLR is based on the Ruger 10/22 Tactical with many aftermarket modifications.
  • The default iron sights are the same as the Tagged Iron Sights. Usually, the Tagged Iron Sights are exclusive to shotguns.
