Mod stats |
The Springfield M1903 Rifle is a primary weapon available in RAID: World War II, and is exclusive to the Recon Class as its main weapon.
Overview[]
The Springfield is a solid starter for the Recon class, dealing very high damage and is relatively accurate at most ranges even wen hipfiring. One-headshot kills on non-specials up to Fallschirmjagers are mostly consistent even up to Very Hard difficulty, while bodyshots may take 3 to 5 depending on the target. Recoil is very manageable, though accuracy can suffer when firing rapidly even at point-blank range. Only two tiers of upgrades are available to the Springfield, though the boosts they give are enough to give players a major leg up on higher difficulties.
Drawbacks to this otherwise solid rifle are the tight and very dark stock ironsights along with the inability to use clips for fast reloads. The latter is especially noticeable when the rifle is fitted with a magazine extension.
The Springfield has provisions for a scope, though this is not necessarily important if the player is fine with the stock ironsights.
