- "Lots of love to every last one of the community for the deep dedication to the PAYDAY gang's rampage gunning their way up the crime ladder. Without that daredevil devotion to Crime.net – the gang wouldn’t manage to pull off the heists they do. Not a chance in hell, if I’m gonna be frank.
And since all the people in the PAYDAY Community are so completely and utterly awesome, we felt the need to throw in this safe, like a bit of whipped cream on top of this hot loot, to embrace the Holiday spirit in advance. Even the ones with the naughtiest of hearts needs a little fierce present this cold winter.
Happy Heisting, everybody!"
- —Community Safe 2 announcement site.
- Like its predecessor, the Community Safe 2 contains skins made by PAYDAY 2 players submitted to the Steam Workshop. All of the skins can be viewed on the Steam Workshop, with the exception of the El Toro Furioso, which was removed from the Workshop after its inclusion.
- Found in the safe's textures folder are the icons of two scrapped skins that were supposed to be included in this release, the Interceptor .45 | Heatwave and Lebensauger .308 | Bloodlust.
- The Vintage (Crosskill | Vintage) originally had a gold-colored trigger, hammer, slide release, safety, and backstrap, but for unknown reasons, they were changed to black when included in the in-game safe.
- The Ancient ([Accepted ✓] Ancient | Cobra SMG) is allegedly cursed, according to Wolf.
- The Royale Blue skin ([✓] Car-4 | Royale Blue) is misspelled as "Royal Blue" on the Community Safe 2 announcement site.
- Wiseguy (Chicago Typewriter | Wiseguy) is a term for a fully initiated member of an American mafia.
- Wiseguy was potentially supposed to be an Epic skin, judging from an alternate image of it, which has several different mods on it whereas the released version is unmodified.
- The Loading (OVE9000 SAW - Loading) skin is designed after the in-game loading symbol. It has been noted that due to the way the saw blade spins, the arrows will rotate backwards.
- Homewrecker (Piglet - Homewrecker [✓]) is slang for a person, object, or activity that causes or almost causes the breakup of a marriage.
- Based on its black-and-yellow color design scheme, the Homewrecker was likely inspired by a nondescript powertool. The "PWR" label corroborates this theory as it is usually used to denote a powertool's electrical inlet or startup switch.
- The Combat Medic (Combat Medic >> Deagle Pistol [✓]) is based on the pre-Update #100 Mastermind skill tree, which focused on healing and pistols. The Military Red Dot Sight and its Lootbag DLC equivalent have an image of Dallas' mask inside the lens cap, who represents the Mastermind tree.
- The default grip also used to have an image of Dallas' mask, but this is not present on the skin in-game.
- The Budget Suppressor's texture is of a medicine bottle from a fictitious company named "OVERCURE".
- The Cooldown skin ([✓] LEO | Cooldown) was originally named "Cyber Dämmerung".
- The Urban Camo | Metallic (KROSS Vertex Urban Camo | Metallic [✓]) is the "metallic" version of another skin its creator made.
- A Spinal Tap ([✓] UAR | Spinal Tap) is a medical procedure in which a needle is inserted into the spinal canal.
- According to its creator, the Damascus shotgun (GSPS 12G | Damascus) is made of birch wood and damascus steel, hence its name.
- The El Toro Furioso belonged to a Mexican bank robber of the same name, who performed numerous heists alone and successfully. He eventually crossed the United States border and continued his robberies in Arizona and New Mexico, later coming to a bloody end after a failed train robbery and being hunted down, cornered in an alley.
- "El Toro Furioso", rather appropriately, roughly translates into "Raging Bull" from Spanish.
