The HET-5 Red Fox is a powerful anti-materiel sniper rifle, capable of killing most enemies in one shot. Its high-magnification scope can scan enemies through walls (but not diffrentiate whether they're common or special enemies), allowing players to know when an enemy is nearby or not. Additionally, it can penetrate multiple enemies.
However, the HET-5 Red Fox only has 5 bullets per magazine and has a reserve magazine of 10. Due to it being an Overkill weapon, it cannot pick up ammo either, thus selective targeting, positioning and timing is needed to use this effectively. Bulldozers are the only enemies capable of surviving several shots from the HET-5 Red Fox. However, they die easily in two bodyshots, but die in five headshots from this rifle with Edge (six without Edge).
