The M1 Carbine is a primary weapon available in RAID: World War II. It is one of the starting weapons for the Assault and Recon classes, and an unlockable for the Insurgent and Demolitions kits.
Overview[]
The M1 Carbine is the little brother to the more powerful M1 Garand, and is an overall good starter weapon with very fine stats across the board. The M1's fast fire rate, negligible recoil and above-par stopping power lends itself well to mid-and-close range combat, where it can land solid shots even when hipfiring. Coupled with very fast reloads, the M1 can wreak havoc among enemy troops if used correctly.
Drawbacks to this otherwise solid starter carbine are its humble magazine size of 15, which can be depleted rather quickly if one spams the trigger, and its unreliability at long ranges.
Summary[]
Pros:
- Manageable recoil
- Fast reloads
- Reasonably deep ammo pool
- Wide and clear iron sights
- Fast fire rate
Cons:
- Small default magazines
- Mediocre accuracy at range

Trivia[]
- Despite the name, the M1 Carbine is actually the M1A1 model, as evident by the wireframe folding stock. It does have a modification that turns it into a proper M1, however.
