The M7 Pursuivant is a burst-fire primary shotgun in PAYDAY 3, added as part of the Houston Breakout Weapon Pack DLC.

Overview

The M7 Pursuivant is the first burst-fire shotgun added to PAYDAY 3, and shows its power in its immense burst-fire power and damage.

Shooting out 7 pellets per shot, this shotgun spits out damage at an incredibly fast rate, and with a fast aim, you can take out two enemies with headshots in one burst, making this an utterly devastating choice against crowds. Shields also go down quickly, requiring only two bursts (one for the shield window, one for the unit himself). It also has a decent armor penetration rate, meaning that one burst can still reasonably take down a heavy SWAT unit while having EDGE and skills that add onto EDGE. Surprisingly, the M7 Pursuivant proves to be an incredibly effective choice at taking down Bulldozers, eating away the faceplates in just a few bursts and exposing the heavy unit's head, allowing for fast (albeit risky) takedowns.

While an optimal choice against crowds, its low magazine capacity (which can be increased with an extended magazine) means more reloading than shooting without ammo skills such as Ammo Funnel and Replenish. Although its ammo pickup rate is serviceable, it's not enough to stop you from constantly reloading without the aforementioned skills, so careful shot placement and targeting is needed to ensure the M7 Pursuivant doesn't fall behind. It is also not recommended for ranged attacks, as its spread - as most shotguns usually go - makes it a poor choice for killing Snipers.
