Walkthrough[]
Stealth
In stealth, the gang starts unmasked, out front of the bank. They must enter the bank. After doing so, Shade tells them to turn off the vault gate power. The power switch can spawn in many randomized positions, but there is a guaranteed spawn inside the teller room, which can be accessed by opening the left-side door (next to the vault).
Next, the lock must be bypassed by hacking a computer inside the server room, which is also randomized and can be found either on the second floor or the roof. The player needs a red keycard to access the room, which can be obtained by stealing it from a roaming guard. A blue keycard may also be found, used to open the camera room.
After hacking the computer and the console, a random switch with its corresponding color code and symbol will need to be pulled from the two access panels outside the vault. Once the switch has been correctly pulled, the pre-vault room will open.
The next objective is arguably the hardest to complete, as it requires the player to carry an employee with vault access from the first floor down to the vault. This can be especially tricky if playing on overkill difficulty, as the stair guard will be constantly patrolling the only way down. A good strategy is to place a microcam on the stairway and monitor the guard’s movements.
With the keypad unlocked, the player can now hack a final computer to obtain 4 codes, with only one of them being the correct code. It can be found by the fingerprints on the keypad: codes that have digits with no fingerprints can be ruled out.
If the vault was opened in stealth, the loot drop off point will activate as soon as the player picks up a bag after defusing (or not) the ink bomb rigged to it. It can either spawn on the parking lot or near the back alley, in front of the bank. If the player found info on the location of the deposit box containing the Wixia documents, it will be highlited.
Loud
As the alarm goes off, the vault keypad will be locked and civilians will begin to evacuate. It is advisable to tie as many of them up, as they will be useful for the negotiation phase and the assault breaks.
Shade will call in Bile for periodic equipment drops of thermite to burn the floor above the vault. The first drop will occur one minute after this dialog, and the first thermite bag will be dropped in the parking lot. The player can safely go out and collect it while other teammates trade civilians to delay the assault, if it hasn’t started yet. The bag can be set up on the first floor.
After the contraption is in place and the thermite has started burning, the game will force the negotiation phase to end and anticipation to begin. Bile will continue dropping bags in other parts of the map during the first assault, and the player can decide whether to use them to speed up the burning process.
Drop in a thermite bag every 30 seconds. Once the thermite has finished burning (takes about 6 minutes with no extra thermite boosts), a hole will open that leads to the vault. It is important to stay as little as possible in the vault, as enemies will rapidly flood in from the hole and the vault door, possibly causing downs due to the little cover there is inside the vault.
The next objective tasks players with going out to the Main Street and lowering the bollards preventing the escape van from arriving. Once these have been taken out with the power boxes around the street, the van will come in and start acting as the loot drop off point. Players should aim to complete this objective quickly, as the bollards will come back up eventually. After all the required loot has been secured, the escape will become available.
During the FBI Assault, a van will arrive in front of the bank, carrying an antenna. If this antenna is destroyed, the assault will be stopped prematurely.

Trivia[]
- No Rest For The Wicked was the first heist officially revealed for PAYDAY 3.
- Concept art for No Rest For The Wicked were made by Victor Bravo[1] and Samat Khovtioonkij[2].
- Unused concepts showcase the heist being located next to a Chinatown-like environment and underneath a bridge.
- This heist is particularly infamous among the PAYDAY community, as during the launch of PAYDAY 3, server errors that led to long matchmaking times and a lack of players led to Shade's briefing ("Let's get you back in the saddle.") constantly being played on repeat, leading to players to negatively associate No Rest For The Wicked's mission briefing.
- Despite what the loading screen reads, the heist would not be set in The Bowery neighborhood. Instead it would be set in the Lower East Side neighborhood based on the point at which Essex and East Houston intersect.
- Additionally, while Essex and East Houston Street do intersect, it is likely more like that the escape area is based on where Essex and Delancey meet. Evident by the Essex Market being visible at the corner.
Bugs[]
- During loud, if players are standing directly on top of the area where the thermite is meant to be placed, they will remain stuck there until the thermite has burnt through the floor to the vault.
- The escape van may struggle to reach the extraction point and fall through the map without the Van Will Not Leave favor.
