PAYDAY 3 is a co-operative first-person shooter action game currently in development by Starbreeze Studios and published by Koch Media and is the successor to PAYDAY 2. PAYDAY 3 is set for a 2023 release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Development

When PAYDAY 3 was announced very little information was shared. Following their acquisition of the PAYDAY IP by Starbreeze in May 2016, the studio has confirmed the development of PAYDAY 3. In 2017, Starbreeze admitted that Valhalla game engine was an incomplete product and unsuitable for active game development. Subsequently, the use of Valhalla was abandoned in favor of Unreal Engine 4 and had been confirmed to use the engine as of March 19, 2021.
