Patterns return in PAYDAY 3 as customization options for both masks and weapons. They can be acquired through in-game purchase or progression and are applied through the item's customization menu.
When equipped, a Pattern determines the area of the color that will be applied to the mask or weapon. The affected areas will override the item’s base color along with any colors applied to just the item's base. Some Patterns can be combined with different colors and materials to create unique visual combinations.

These Patterns can be bought inside the mask customization mode for either in-game money or C-Stacks.

- The Half-And-Half pattern may be a reference to the pattern on Scarface's mask.
- The Butterfly Effect pattern seems to be reminiscent of the pattern on Clover's mask.
- The Odd Skeptic pattern bears a strong resemblance to the pattern of Houston's mask.
Renown Patterns[]
These Patterns are earned via reaching a new Renown Level.

Twitch Drops Patterns[]
These Patterns are earned via the Twitch Drop system.
Jailhouse tattoos have meaning to them. And for some reason, you wear that symbolism right on your face for all to see as a badge of honor. It's striking and terrifying in equal parts.
I'm not sure if you're clowning on the cops or yourself with this one. Not that important. People are gonna freak the fuck out either way.
The financial world is a cutthroat business. And the way you approach it is even more so. The pattern shows your true inner self, someone who will do anything to reach the top, maintain that proper exterior, and cut down anyone who puts a dent in your well-maintained facade.
You're no the hesitant type. If someone disrespects you, they'll soon learn what you're capable of. Your reactions can be...unforgiving. More often than not, they end up messy. That's something your "friend" Paul got to experience first hand.
