Description
I’m not really building a shelter, but I buyed like a ton of cans and some water now and also this brand new flash light. Cause when the world goes dark, you gotta have some kind light or you’ll be dead with in the hour. I promise you that!(sic)

The Tactical Flashlight is a melee weapon available in PAYDAY 2, added to the game on the first day of Spring Break 2018.

Overview

The Tactical Flashlight is an all-around average melee weapon, with decent swing speed and concealment. Its main feature, however, is that while swinging and charging the weapon, it points a cone of light where it is aimed. It functions identically to the flashlight mods equippable on firearms, and, with its needing to be constantly charged to use the flashlight, does not provide much advantage over simply equipping said modifications on the primary/secondary weapons.

Mechanics

• Flashlight function, swing/charge melee to use.

Tips

• Players deal more damage per second with this weapon by attacking as quickly as possible, rather than fully charging attacks.
• If a player wishes for more damage, it is recommended that they get Berserker, Pumping Iron and Bloodthirst Aced from the Brawler skill tree.
• If a player wishes for more knockdown, use Martial Arts Aced.

Trivia

• The Tactical Flashlight is based on the Maglite® ML300LX™ LED Flashlight, as noted by the square knurling on the grip. The head of the flashlight reads "MAD-LIGHT".
• Forward of the grip is small text that reads "CIA0111000001101001cl". The binary translates to "pi".
