Terminology[]
- Voltage, Wattage, and Amperage are all units related to the physics branch studying the interaction between two electrically charged particles, Electromagnetism.
- Some of these are used in a 'flavor text' manner and are used incorrectly/loosely, such as "I'm amp'ed!": Amperage units are used as the base unit of electricity, which as an individual word, does not make sense. There are units of electric charge (Coulomb), and electric potential (Voltage) and other units that accommodate this in a more proper manner.
- Shock treatment, better known as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), is a psychiatric treatment involving the use of electrically-induced seizures in patients to treat mental disorders, typically around 70 to 120 volts.
- Perp / Perpetrator, synonym for suspect, although the distinction between suspect and perpetrator recognizes that the suspect is not known to have committed the offense, while the perpetrator—who may not yet have been suspected of the crime, and is thus not necessarily a suspect—is the one who did.
- Elite Taser, is a non-existent unit who the Taser self-proclaims to be. All Taser entities are identical, except cosmetically in variant to ZEAL Tasers, and should not worry about any distinction, other than narcissistic.
- Insub / Insubordinate, is a person who willfully defies the order of authority figures, or refuses to follow orders.
Trivia[]
Note: Some of these trivia facts are shared from the Taser's main page, but only those relevant to the voicelines of said entity. Any trivia unrelated to voicelines must be relocated to the Taser (Payday 2) main page.
- The line "Say goodnight, McMurphy." ( twice) is a reference to Randle Patrick "Mac" McMurphy, the protagonist of the novel One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (1962).
- The line "I'm the fucking SPARK MAN!" ( twice) is a reference to Spark Man, a Robot Master (boss fight entity) from the Mega Man videogame franchise, who specializes in electric-based attacks.
- Another reference from the same game is made on the line "Just call me 'Elec Man'" ( twice), this time referencing a different, but still of the same electricity-focused gameplay, Robot Master, Elec Man.
- Fitting enough, both the Taser and Elec Man make reference of shock therapy on their quotes.
- Despite the fact the Taser offers shock treatment, fifty-thousand volts is a little bit above the recommended voltage range values (70v-120v), therefore any offers should be politely yet firmly refused.
- "Lightning bolt, lightning bolt!" and "Lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt!" is a reference to the LARPing Lightning Bolt! video.

BETA
The Payday Wiki Voiceline Project is still in development.
If you find any voiceline that doesn't belong to this entity, add some form of note or highlight and leave them on the spot. Do not remove/delete it, as it will make it more difficult for me to rearrange/find them properly due to the thousands of audio files scattered around Payday's unorganized files, as you can tell right away from the audio file names.
