Description
The URSA Tanto Knife is an exclusive, indestructible fighting/utility knife. it has a tanto blade, shaped like the tip of a Katana; polymer grip; stealth black design. A modern take on the classic URSA Knife.

The Ursa Tanto Knife is a melee weapon available in PAYDAY 2 that was added in Update #40. It is available to players who have joined the Official PAYDAY 2 Group on Steam.

Overview[]

The Ursa Tanto Knife was added to the game as part of the 1,500,000 members achievement of the Official PAYDAY 2 Group, alongside the Chimano Compact pistol, the assassin John Wick as a guest heister and his associated perk deck.

Visually, it resembles the URSA Knife, though with a black handle and a tanto-style blade instead of the former's clip point. Compared to the Gage Weapon Pack #01's URSA, the Tanto Knife version holds mostly equal stats, the only difference being its lower uncharged damage.

Tips[]

  • Players deal more damage per second with this weapon by attacking as quickly as possible, rather than fully charging attacks.
  • If a player wishes for more damage, it is recommended that they get Berserker, Pumping Iron and Bloodthirst Aced from the Brawler skill tree.
  • If a player wishes for more knockdown, use Martial Arts Aced.

Trivia[]

WickGunStash

Wick's basement stash with the Ursa Tanto Knife circled in red. Note the two Chimano Compacts and Contractor pistols amongst the case's contents.

  • The Ursa Tanto Knife is based on the KA-BAR Tanto Blade.
    • When viewed in preview mode, the words "KABAL CONSPIRACY" can be seen on one side of the blade.
  • While the addition of the Chimano Compact is justifiable as Wick does use it for quite a significant stretch of the first film, the Ursa Tanto Knife is out of place here as it does not make much of an appearance there. While Wick does in fact use a knife in the movie, his was a small and vastly more concealable switchblade instead of a combat model.
